Florida town accidentally sold its water tower to local businessman

I’m sure that the local politics are about as sound as a flyblown fish; but, unfortunately, there’s something almost adorable about the tiny scale and blundering incompetence compared to, say, a very low-lying state with serious saltwater infiltration risks and vulnerable wetlands even considering (much less approving, as they did) a “let’s have Nestle convert a million gallons a day into bottled water for export!” plan.
