If you own the judicial branch and have ravaged all the executive departments beyond repair, you don’t need to win a majority for a while. Just enough minority to stop any progress.
since half the voters don’t vote, let’s hope they are starting to wake up. I sure hope so.
Oh good point. The republicans played a long, clever game and won from the ground up. Even a popular democrat president wasn’t enough. I think Dems have realised though, there seems to be more of a ground swell to taking back everything, not just the house, senate or presidency.

Maybe, but take it back in what form of Dem politicians – more of the same old neoliberal corporate toadies, or actual representatives of the rest of us? I don’t think it’s at all clear that the Dem Pary has sorted that out yet.
