At the beginning of the video below there seems to be the sound of a projectile whizzzing by the camera. Damn. It’s amazing that not more people are being hurt or killed.

I think we are just seeing the blast wave in the smoke/clouds…

The effect is most commonly associated with a nuclear explosion, but any sufficiently energetic detonation or deflagration will produce the same effect.
