I learned a lot about this guy during our family’s time in the NICU.
It was problematic on a lot of levels, and I can’t imagine being one of the parents at the mercy of a Coney Island side show, but without Couney my son wouldn’t be alive today.
It was often a choice of having the baby cared for by people trying really hard to save it and having standard medical practice abandon all hope for life.
