I just checked my old Hotmail account, and discovered that WP had subscribed me (unasked, of course) to a daily Post Most feature. (I created a WP account ages ago to get around their paywall, but that was only good for a token number of articles.)
Unsubscribed, until the next time, and now for months of cleanup.
