Back when i used to be one of the mods for a lively gaming community in Team Fortress 2 one of the things we could do was turn off a cheater’s ability to do damage (among other things). Watching them try so hard to be disruptive and getting killed instead was satisfying. Man, i miss those days.
What FPS was it where you could get turned into a duck?
Anyone remember the wizard command back in the MUD/MUSH days:
@toad
Command: @toad[/<switches>] <victim>[=<recipient>]
Turns the victim into an object (a slimy toad) and disconnects them from
the game. The named recipient (or the @toading wizard) get ownership of
all the victim's things, rooms, and exits, as well as of the toad object
itself.
The following switches are available:
/no_chown - Don't change the ownership of the victim or his objects.
See also: @boot, @chownall, @destroy.
Probably not what you were thinking of (since this is a side scroller RPG not a FPS), but “turned into a duck” makes me think of Ghouls ‘N’ Ghosts on Sega Genesis.
Duck seen at 0:10
WTF is this from that Alamy has it as stock art??
The original has an empty speech bubble. I added the text. I was thinking of finding a Trump head-squig to add to the frog, but I lost the energy. Fuck that guy.
We used to joke about desiring a @newt command. It’s like @toad but you eventually get better.
I think it might have been Hexen or Heretic that did the duck thing. I definitely remember being turned into a duck. I mean, I got better, obviously.
Did you get medical help? Did you go to see a quack?
