Unfortunately the lint used was heavily compressed (~700 pounds on a standard pallet) so the massive fireball I was expecting didn’t happen.
I guess I should keep my belly button away from open flames.
dryer lint, paper egg carton, some melted wax (thrift a dedicated double boiler for melting) and you’ve got cheap and effective fire starters.
Also it’s really cool how readily/thoroughly melted wax will soak into the stuff.
Thanks!
As an adult, my friends and I started using dryer lint to get campfires going while backpacking.
It works so well that it seems obvious, but as a kid in Boy Scouts it never occurred to us.
