Gollancz announces a £4,000 prize for sf writing by people of color

Gollancz was not solely a science fiction publisher until Hachette bought them.

I cringe every time I read or hear the word “incredibly” wrongly used, it isn’t incredible, it is superfluous.

Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London series is really worth a read by the way. I first started reading them after Charlie Stross recommended them, they’re sort of like a police version of his Laundry Files series.
Part of the non-supernatural side of the books is the main character dealing with being a mixed-race officer in the Met, so I can see why he’s chosen to sponsor this award.
