There were some earlier ones in 98 I think…I remember doing training for executives on web searching and showed them this new search tool “Goooogle” and it looked a lot rougher.

That was interesting, but I have not seen a Google home page for a long time. Startpage.com delivers entirely private Google searches (i.e. without Google knowing who you are)

I trust you told them not to type “Google” into the search bar?

It was back in the day where you had to know the URL to get anywhere, rather than integrated searches in the URL. That was only like 25 years ago but it seems so long.
