I wish my lawyer had known this back in '96 when I had my appendix removed a few months after having my back broken in a dust-up with a pickup truck. I discharged all my debt except for school loans due to medical hardship.

Exactly. You know how every winter, there are all these “heartwarming” stories of people going into Walmart or Kmart or wherever and paying off eveyone’s lay-away stuff? The thing you never ever hear in those stories is “how much that sucked for everyone who didn’t have stuff on lay-away.”
It’s utterly bizarre how much the US has decided to shit on college students at every turn.

That’s because the population has been taught that intelligence is bad, that experts are jokes, and that college, while necessary to get a “good” job, teaches people to be radical lefty atheists who hate themselves because they are white. Also, most college degrees, ie those in anything not geared toward a high earning field, are just stupid time wasters for spoiled middle-class kids who couldn’t do a “real” days work if they tried.
