I feel like for it to be “hacking an iPod” you have to be running your new software on Apple’s old hardware.

Guy Dupont gutted his 2004 iPod Classic and transformed it into a Spotify player powered by a Raspberry Pi.
So, then, not actually hacking, which would imply using the existing hardware and making it work in a new way. It’s really an article about how to make a cool cover out of an old iPod for a Raspberry Pi that plays Spotify.
