I highly recommend this dada documentary from Helmut Herbst:
I say it like this, d"ada.
Strange to think that my introduction to Dada was not art class or documentaries, it was a comic book. Thank you, Doom Patrol, for enlightening me in my youth.
Couldna put it better meself.
That said, Hugo Ball was a sweet, kind, gentle soul who got run off his plot by egotists.
Marie Osmond got it ripleys-_dada.mp4 - YouTube
My belongs to Dada.
You left off the Marie Osmond video of her explaining Dada HOLY SMOKES: Marie Osmond on dadaism | Boing Boing
every day here is another day in a state of surreal nonsense.
a state i call florida-da.
Too catty. (And overly dismissive.) I think that sort of defining of in groups and out groups and jockeying for position would be closer to Surrealism anyway.
This is not a dada comment.
Edit to add dada @ChuckV
I got hip to dada in a public high school library while skipping class.
Magritte is not generally considered to have been a dadaist.
I get right to the end of that and wasn’t sure if it was going to be an Art movement, Christians, Republicans, Gender Crits, Marvel fans, Star Wars vs Star Trek…
Yeah. Dead common. dada did things no one else had yet even vaguely considered.
