It’s not exactly accurate to say that the recordings were abandoned. A Naked Lunch spoken word album – with music by Bill Frisell, Wayne Horvitz, and Eyvind Kang – was released in 1995. It’s long out of print, but it can be found for sale online. It looks like this new album came from that same recording session, but concentrating on different sections of the book.
