Here is the real (fake) story of Kiss's "Beth"

When I was an AV installer, dubstep became the lowest common denominator that everyone on the crew could tolerate being pumped out all night. (At least, until that one summer where I turned most of the crew into Girl Talk fans.)

The running joke (which works when everyone in the room knows about thermal cutoffs in commercial grade amplifiers) was “Is it equipment failure, or is it dubstep?”

i wouldn’t ding them for showmanship. it’s a grand tradition, like Alice Cooper and countless other bands.

EDIT: i’ll also cop to liking some dubstep, so ¯\(ツ)

I don’t know who wrote the songs, but my favorites are New York Groove, Calling Dr Love. Love Gun and Beth…

A string orchestra.

No love for Cold Gin? Or that touching little number called Great Expectations?

lol you’re diverse. That’s an Ace*, a Gene, a Paul Stanley and a rare Peter Criss

(technically New York Groove isn’t a Kiss song but I think it’s considered canon.
And Ace Frehley didn’t even write it but it’s still an Ace song)

Great expectations is a good song too… I guess I’m a big fan after all …

Saw them live in 1985, 1999 and 2010…
