History repeats, we don't learn

We’re just lazy meatbags.

Reading about a kid who had occasional asthma, died. There’s a healthcare culture (at least, in the UK), that asthma isn’t that dangerous really.

So the number of deaths has been rising steadily. Low numbers still (37), but preventable, totally.

One member of my family is mildly asthmatic. Have to convince them to renew Salbutamol every time; and provide antibiotics when a severe cough threatens.

Why don’t we learn? Really - why not?!?! I’m tired of this. Bring on the AI overlords who treat us like pets - at least they’ll provide health cover.
