Exponential growth of cats will wipe out populations faster than a decreasing number of cats. Feral cats only exist because assholes don’t spay and neuter their pets and abandon them when they are done with them.

Ironically, in the frontier days, since people killed animals for food on a regular basis, they were probably more comfortable on average with doing so than is the average person today.
In those days they killed animals out of necessity, not for sport or fun.
Hunting animals for fun rather than survival has been a thing since the dawn of civilisation, sadly.
I mean, if you were to take a rather simplistic view on it, you could probably argue that “unnecessary killing” has been a big part of America’s self-image since it was a fur-trading colony…

No, I left it blank for several years while I was taking a break from BB, and figured that the old avatar didn’t make much sense given that I no longer remembered who the dude’s name was when I logged back in and looked at it again.
I like the series (Cyberpunk Edgerunners), the character, and the composition of this particular shot, so I thought I’d use it, although I appreciate the irony.
