CBGB means country,blue grass and blues.It was a biker bar before that where I would go as a nerdy HS student and hustle the Hell’s Angel at pool.

They cleaned up the exterior for Summer of Sam to match its state back in 1977, and then it wasn’t open for long enough afterwards to reacquire the patina it had developed over the decades before the shoot.
