Nah…that’s just a daddy longlegs. They eat mosquitoes, so they are very fine creatures indeed.
Makes sense, but (as I recall) that was at least several months ago.
I think it’s a Harvester spider. Seeing as it isn’t big and chunky and (so far) it lives outside, no worries.
Has a very Facehugger body if you look up close but who’d do that?

We clearly grew up in different regions of the country! I’ve never heard them called Harvester in Illinois, Wisconsin, etc…always daddy longlegs.
I think you grew up on different continents.
(Not that there is anything wrong with that.)
I’ll bet the Australian version is so large that you can spot the similarity from quite a long way away from it.
