Don’t make me get my gavel.
Until seen by an observer, those pants are in a superimposed state of being too loose AND too tight.
Lighting strike or arson? (The sculpture, not the fungi.)
I’m not sure - we had some heavy storms roll thru here a month or two ago, and they took out a lot of trees. I don’t walk past here as often as I used to, but I think I would have noticed if it had happened before that.
That reminds me of a first date in which the other person ordered a salad, and then was surprised when I ordered a hot entree, because they thought vegetarians only ate salad and they didn’t want to upset me by ordering meat!
We lasted about a year, so not a great love story, but not the worst relationship ever!
Someone responded to an amateur telescopic photographer on Twitter the other day telling them that their painstaking and beautiful photo of Saturn was “a waste of time” because NASA takes way better photos all the time. There was an immediate and passionate defense of the photographer, but that stuck in my head as such a strong example of needless internet assholery. NASA directly asking for amateur moon photos warms that specific part of my heart where an ice chunk had lodged.
I guess i’ll be breaking out the telescope next week to take some snaps
Yes. NASA was super nice. And amateur/diletant astronomers do a great job discovering asteroids, comets etc. These people do the hard work just because it is fun.
Share with NASA and us!
Cool. But if you want to answer the NASA call up, you can also send paintings, sketches and even a moon cookie recipe!
In anticipation of this monumental milestone, NASA wants to see, hear, and experience all of your Moon-inspired content — your Moon photographs, your Moon music, your Moon recipes, your Moon nail art, your Moon makeup tutorials. The sky is not the limit!
I wish my dad had a video camera in 1985. Me and brother did some sick moonwalk dance moves.
Do you have an 8-10 year old?
No… 2 teenagers. But the apples did not fall far from the tree.
The sprinkles did not land far from the pee?
