I spent 10 years remodeling a 1914 lath and plaster house. We wore protective gear when working but living in the a house while remodeling it probably didn’t do our health much good. But at least I can say when we sold the house it was finally free of asbestos and lead paint.

And that vermiculite too. A lot of it back then had asbestos in it.
