In 2007, pundits scoffing accurate predictions about the economy

I remember having worries about the market as early as mid-2006, and I’d been skimming the business pages, but I’d made my predictions on a mixture of markets (big ol’ bubble) and human behavior (robo-signing and steering minorities toward sub-prime loans). I couldn’t say what would happen, but I knew no good would come of it.

It seems to me that this describes the norm for conversation now, at least on the Internet.
