In Japan, you can buy cake in a can from a vending machine

It’s actually pretty good. Especially with a bit of custard.

Stopped off at Shibuya on the way home and picked up a couple of cans. The vending machine is outside Mark City.

We had the strawberry cake, yes it was more like a trifle and it was really good.

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. That being said, I’m a huge fan of Mrs. Bacons, to the point that I don’t just like watching her enthusiastic nod and smile when she eats good food, I actually need it like needing to hear “Audible hopes you have enjoyed this program.” before I can say I’ve finished an audiobook (Hoopla books just don’t feel the same IMHO).

Check out a YouTube channel, TabiEats. They featured these and have featured hundreds of vending machine treats, self-serve (trust-based) dumpling shops, 7-11 meals, street food, and wonderful restaurants. They have now turned us on to eating more Japanese food, and visiting Japan as our next vacation.
