Given that they were “investing” in an NFT-related business, I’m confident that they were scammed at exactly the same time that they clicked “Pay”.
Every time I see someone getting away with selling NFTs, cashing in on crypto-related hucksterism, or collecting donations for religions or politics, I question all the life choices that led me to value morality over cash. I don’t regret them, but I won’t deny there’s envy.
