As always security is the last thing the companies making these things think about, if it’s connected to your home network it can if infected/compromise your whole system and wreak havoc on your system.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!
A bit like the warring days of old and the term Havoc was a signal given to the English military forces in the Middle Ages to direct the soldiery (in Shakespeare’s parlance ‘the dogs of war’) to pillage and chaos, only in this case silently while you sleep on all your tech.
