Is a soapy washcloth in a plastic bag an effective hand sanitizer?

Starting to sound like a salad dressing.
I suppose another option would be to get about with your dog. make sure rover gives your hands a good lick - apparently dog saliva is great for killing germs.

Cleaning vinegar is 10% acetic acid. You’d remember that salad.

Um, probably you would make a fresh one daily, and launder the used one.

A single day is not likely to be long enough for nasties to grow, but YMMV.

Oh wow, so obvious on one hand, but great advice and probably what I will turn to instead of hand sanitizer, which is essentially impossible to get right now. Soap is no such problem.

Thanks!

You coulda told me that before I ate soap, dammit.

They make little bottles of Dr. Bronners, we bring those camping with us.

A baby wipe carrier, refilled with Clorox or Lysol wipes, is better and can be used on other objects. It will fit in a purse or backpack. Ordering one from China on eBay, as I did, is an option that is off the table. In a pinch, use a windshield cleaner container.

Washcloth-OK until the time comes to wipe off purchases, automated cashier, or human cashier’s conveyor belt.
