Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari says Israelâs ground forces are âexpanding their operations tonightâ.
New liveblog on the Guardian as the war seems about to move into a new phase (Israeli ground assault)
And MBS can fuck right off, but the Saudis are not wrong about the impact that a ground invasion IS going to have on the whole region⌠but really, the whole world. Weâre really on a dangerous precipice here and if we take the plunge, weâre all fucked in some way or anotherâŚ
Thinking about some of the precursors for the most awful periods in the 20th century and seeing how current events are rhymingâŚItâs really terrifying.
UNITED NATIONS: Can everybody please stop fucking around and do the right thing instead?
EVERYBODY: No.

âA rolling start will be an operation where you put in reconnaissance forces, you sort of gain a feel for the battlefield, and then pull your main forces in behind them,â McKenzie told CBS News Friday.
Theyâre calling whatâs happening a rolling start. Not really sure why itâs not being called a ground invasion.
Also, the person we essentially sent to tell them a ground invasion would be hard:
The Pentagon sent a Marine general experienced in special operations and urban combat to advise the Israelis on how to do it. He has since left Israel.
