For obvious reasons I’m not a fan of Jenny McCarthy. I don’t believe she spreads anti-vax bullshit out of malice, but because of the reach of her platform the the effects are more profound than the con artists who do.
That said, I’m also not a huge fan of Barbara Walters. Yes, she conducted a lot of valuable and informative interviews over the decades. But I’ve also watched her become increasingly negging, prejudicial and sometimes outright disdainful of interviewees her relative junior. And though she sort of apologized for the fiasco with Ricky Martin, there’s a lot she hasn’t.
