If you want to professionally record an album in a real studio with real musicians and real recording engineers, and then get CDs and LPs pressed, that shit takes money.
Getting the rights record the songs doesn’t come free either. That alone can cost thousands of dollars. Want to perform them live? That’s even more money.
also, printing and packaging that vinyl, doing the die-cut windows and inner sleeve and everything to harken back to the original Rolling Stones album, that ain’t cheap.
His goal was only $20,000, but he’s raised more than that. But on the other hand, printing vinyl/etc isn’t cheap, physical good fulfillment is hard and ruins kickstarters so it always costs more than people think it will.
