The ABA actually deemed her qualified (with a minority of their panel deeming her “well qualified”) when she was nominated. And she was confirmed by a vote that included a dozen dems:

Almost 20 years ago I set up a system for a state court that automatically created instructions to the jury, and ballots for guilty/not guilty … boilerplate text from a database that ALL the judges and clerks used. It ensured all juries got the same instructions for similar crimes.

How could they miss something SO FRICKING BASIC?

Maybe, although non-Supreme Court federal judges are actually bound by the Code of Conduct for United States Judges.
