Yeah, those are Weasel Words, along the same lines of ‘I was in fear for my life’…
Either way, someone else’s life is at risk.
There are a lot of anti-vaxxers who use a religious basis to argue against vaccines. (not just Christian scientists)
The argument is that the moral hazard of getting a vaccine with fetal cell lines used in vaccine development etc… is akin to going out and crushing a toddler under your heel.
Not going to link any of the idiot sites etc… you can find them through a google if you like to hurt your own brain.
Yup. To my superfundie grandma, accepting a vaccine that was developed from a stem cell line derived from a single aborted fetus in the 1970s is morally in no way any different from grabbing a pair of machetes and marching into a maternity ward and finely masticating every infant and mother there.
Sounds like hospital workers who don’t wash their hands between patients because they don’t want to get wrinkles. Unacceptable!
It’s at least analogous to running down someone with a trolley.
Luckily, if post-Galenic theories of circulation are heretical lies that your faith forbids, your haemostatic technique should significantly reduce the number of deaths that can be linked to your aseptic technique.
No offense to your grandma, but for a moment I thought you were saying she’s toxic nuclear waste.
At my hospital everyone is required to take the seasonal flu vaccine, but we also have to be TB tested yearly, and our immunizations for other diseases have to be up to date as well (Hepatitis B, MMR, TDAP, Varicella).
There are exemption forms people can get. I have never seen one, nor have I ever heard of anyone being approved for exemption or even submitting one. The rules for these people if they are approved to be exempt are pretty draconian as far as constantly wearing serious PPE, etc., so they’d probably quit anyway.
I imagine that I will see how the exemption thing goes more clearly once the Covid vaccine is required.
Yeah, that’s what I was going for.
At least her mind is like a superfund site.
In that case, my compliments on your double entendre par excellence.
