Well, that’s a fascinating choice. I personally enjoy ELO very much, and her take on Don’t Bring Me Down treads the line carefully between slavish recreation and interesting personal take, although I hesitate to say it reminded me of all the Juliana songs I’ve loved in the past. But very cool, I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of it.

An entire album of ELO covers? I’m curious if she’s heard of L.E.O’s Alpacas Orgling? Other than “Don’t Bring Me Down” they don’t share any tracks. (just a demo on Alpacas Orgling).

Cool. I really like her album of Olivia Newton John covers too. IIRC, I first heard about that one here on the BBS.

From the album artwork, it seems her definition of “shining a light on some of their later work” appears to be one tune (“Ordinary Dream”, a song I like a lot).
