Thatâs good to hear, in Canada they are pretty much drowning but will likely be salvaged & continue.
I hate to be a killjoy, I like the Idea of bicycling, Bike share, and electric assist bikes.
But, I see that the electric motor housing is in contact with the tire
I think electric motors need to be vented for cooling
That location is very wet and dirty
A portion of everything on the ground that the tire touches, will be carried up and sprayed on the motor.
You might have to offset the motor in a protected (screened?) location and use a shaft with a small rubber wheel to contact the tire.
Better to figure out problems now instead of having some very nice brushless motors get ruined.
