That’s very sad 
Making stuff up about current events has been bread & butter for these rags … forever.
But anyway. To show that anyone can misinterpret ( & pass on false narratives ) I will say you missed the point of the Buddy Holly crash story. They did point out the cause of the crash, which was probably due to the unfamiliar artificial horizon display the pilot was using. But hey … have fun.
