Launch a kid’s STEM career with a game console they can build themselves

It’s fun, I suppose, but will the kid (or the grownup) really get that amazed feeling when the thing actually works? Like when you completely take apart an engine, put it back together, reinstall it in the car and it starts right up?

For electronica, how about building a crystal radio? That’s what I’m doing with my daughter while we’re social distancing.

We built one! Took 7 weeks.
My youngest was 8/9? We had loads of fun putting it together as a team. We hit one solderring roadblock and the Markerbuino guys couldnt have been more helpful!
