Although fully autonomous vehicles aren’t yet allowed on public streets do not exist yet, they are poised believed to dominate the roads offer a substantial ROI in the not-too-distant future.
But before that happens, Apple, Google Waymo, Uber, and other companies that actually make cars (and in large quantities) that now are investing in self-driving tech are going to need talented developers that can account for the dizzying array of factors at play when a human gets behind the wheel. And all the other factors at play, including the humans that are not behind any wheel, but still part of whatever happens on the street.
