LeVar was just interviewed on WTF. He dives deeper into all of the topics discussed here. He also talks about his Pantheon of “storyteller” heroes which include Sidney Poitier, Mr Rogers and Gene Roddenberry. I feel exactly the same way as Stephanie here. LeVar is the reason I read to my children every night and always begin with the title and author so they know that a real human just like them wrote it. Every time I do, LeVar is speaking through me.

I often wonder how many of those proposing book banning and curtailment of library services are regular consumers of those products, or learn all they need to know on social media.
