Hotels are the only time I watch cable TV. Although lately I’ve been bringing a fire stick… has it’s own remote.

A few years ago we stayed in a hotel in Champaign, Illinois. As we were heading to breakfast to meet up with family we walked past this room. I never did find out what was in there.

A friend once rented a room in a red-light part of town. Laying on the bed, he looked up into the shade of the lamp on the bedside table and tucked up in there was a hundred-dollar bill. It paid for a nice dinner for him and his wife.

I’d probably have used tongs to handle it.
Or, maybe more apropos, thongs.
