We hadn’t rehearsed, it was all ad lib. I announced what we were, and who we were, and I introduced Artie Simek, our letterer… I think he played the harmonica for a minute.

This must have been the other recording session, I guess. Ad lib my ass. What a perfect Noo Yawk accent Flo Steinberg had. Like many old time Marvel fans I received a nice letter from her in response to some question or other. Not many laughs on this record but it’s great to hear the (stilted) voices of the real people who made the comics of my youth.
