Grass lawns should be illegal in most places. Well, maybe not illegal, but strongly discouraged, in favour of indigenous plants. My front lawn, over the years has turned into moss and clover and it looks fantastic: green all year round, no watering, and no re-seeding.

Growing up the neighborhood club had this happen, there was a section of lawn that naturally got taken over by a bed of clovers and it felt amazing to sit or walk on.

Temperate rain forest, sure. It got the attention he wanted so specifics didn’t matter.
