It’ll be worth watching, especially as a Lynch fan, but it’s all speculatory. I’m certain that many filmmakers who grew up with The Wizard of Oz being this big thing were of course influenced by it. To say he was that influenced by it, though, would be surprising considering it wasn’t mentioned all that frequently in his book, Room to Dream. Many people have to impression that he’s cagey and enigmatic, but I’m sure such a profuse love wouldn’t be so completely hidden away.
