Wasn’t the i5 M 520 released in January 2010, making it a 2010s-era PC?

Maybe the solution is for me to get out of my depression and repeat the experiment on an old Thinkpad R40 I have sitting on a shelf.

Get that rig running on a Pi or a Gameboy, then I’ll be impressed.

Used to do kinda the same thing on an Amiga 2000, running amiga os, with dos running off a plug in card, then some pilfered mac roms running natively on the amiga. the old b&w mac would scream on amiga hardware.
