I offer a free comprehensive course on making the most of Microsoft Office.

  1. Uninstall Microsoft Office.
  2. Format your C: drive.
  3. Nuke it from orbit. (It’s the only way to be sure.)
  4. Install the Linux of your choice. (Or a BSD if you’re a bit kinky.)
  5. Install Emacs and Texlive.
  6. Enjoy a real environment for creating and manipulating text that you control, and a system for real typesetting.
  7. (Optional). Burn your Windows install CD/usb-drive/sticker as a symbolic gesture of your new emancipation from substandard, restrictive software.
