This show on Netflix is pretty swell. It definitely seems like it takes place firmly in the 19A0s!

So far it’s just great all around. Very psychedelic in an alternative late eighties/early 90s kind of way. The visual design is superb. Whole thing is like JG Ballard meets Lost in a Wes Anderson aesthetic, done right.

It brought to mind the layered realities at play in “Sucker Punch”. And reminded me of how good a film that could have been.
