It’s funny, I went to the map with this expectation of ‘oh, it’ll be a map of minimum wage’; seems (as others here have pointed out) it’s a pretty weak association. While that’s good, I think, as an argument for ‘The world won’t catch fire if we pay a living wage’, I also wonder if I can ever look at stats expressed on a US map again without wedging politics into it. Like the people I sometimes kvetch about, it seems I’m always looking for evidence that my team is right. Ugh.
