Hearing aids are especially ridiculous. What is special about an in-ear hearing aid when compared to a bluetooth headset? They both have a microphone to pick up sound out of the ear, a DSP chip to equalize the sound, and a speaker to produce sound in the ear. Yet I can buy a bluetooth earpiece for less than $10.
