Years ago Kal Spelletich visited a class I took at UC Davis, being one of a series of guest lecturers for the course. He carried himself with a certain air of an artist who is hesitant to call himself an artist - more like a craftsman.

As the years go by I am starting to realize that the whole major (Technocultural Studies, which has by all accounts, disappeared) was basically a primer on what to expect from Boing Boing for the next ten years.
