In the 2000’s we stayed in a modest hotel in Norway that had that seamless and effortless design ethic found in Scandinavia. It seemed timeless. Anyways, a Kettcar equivalent was available to whomever wanted to try it out. The route was around the outside of the hotel’s dining room. Adults finished their meal while the kids excused themselves to rip around. The front desk had an elevated platform so the kids could pull over, ascend, and politely ask for ice cream bars. It was not as garish and frantic as it might sound to North Americans. Rather it was elegant and fun, not unlike the vibe at Tivoli in Copenhagen. Soon it will be time for a return visit with my grand-daughter. Where did time go?
