I’m sure there’s one or two others out in the BBS-osphere who live with and enjoy midcentury modern furniture, whether atomic age sputnik-themed lighting, scandinavian furniture from designers such as Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen and others, or an Eames chair knockoff that you relax in, tell us about your favorite piece or pieces… or maybe the one that you’re on the lookout for?
Of the (probably too many pieces of) furniture that we’ve got, I think my favorites are a Dyrlund ‘Flip-Flop’ Lotus table that expands markedly to accommodate larger parties via some nifty sliding bits -
The other piece that I’m a little too fond of is an early 60s German stereo console that I purchased from a coworker a number of years ago. The audio bits had were all gone by the time I got it except for the speakers, but with an amp and turntable, it’s our vinyl-listening machine
