Some rules for the internet would be a good idea…
Problem is applying one culture’s rules to another doesn’t always work smoothly.
I was thinking along the lines of ‘No autoplaying at full blast ads’ and such; I’m pretty sure we could reach a far-reaching consensus on stuff like that.
Interesting. In my day “syllabi” would have been considered an illiteracy. “Syllabus” is an invented word based on a misreading, not a real Latin word at all, and as such the plural should be syllabuses. But academics like to suggest a spurious intimacy with dead languages, so syllabi. Me, I like the observation that the plural of syllabus is tedium.
