Mueller has dozens of questions for Trump on Russia and obstruction. Read them here

No, Rudy Giuliani is more likely. It’s his style. And he just joined the team and is probably looking to make a splash and impress the boss.

And you didn’t post that prior to just now, because, why?

Either way, it still came from a meeting with Mueller’s people, although if true that the WH leaked it, they themselves were guessing on what might be asked.

It says questions were “read by the special counsel investigators to the president’s lawyers, who compiled them into a list. That document was provided to The Times by a person outside Mr. Trump’s legal team.” It goes on to say it was Dowd who made the list while establishing the type of questions Trump would be asked if he agreed to be interviewed, as well as detailing what he was thinking at every step of the way.

He advised against Trump agreeing to an interview, then quit when his advice seemed to be ignored. Trump soured on the idea after that, then Giuliani showed up and was reported to be negotiating for it again. I’m assuming Dowd still thinks it would be a disaster, and by leaking the questions he hopes other Trump-friendly people will back him up when they see the type of things Trump would be asked.

Mike Schmidt also said today that the source was someone who was unnerved by Trump’s behavior, which is a good description for Dowd with regards to Trump’s apparent intention to be interviewed.

Agreed. His office doesn’t leak, so there’s definitely a strategy at play. I think this is a big part of it. trump is such a rube he walks into setups like this every day.
